WHY NOVEMBER 18?

A Spiritual Wake-Up Call

November 18 is deeply woven into Haiti's history. The victory at Vertières on November 18, 1803 became a decisive moment in Haiti's struggle for independence.

More than two centuries later, we remember that history while recognizing that our generation faces a different battle.

Our response is spiritual. We humble ourselves. We seek God's face. We pray. We unite. We serve. We act in faith.

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face…”— 2 Chronicles 7:14

“Pa kite mwen, O bon Sovè!”“Pass Me Not, O Gentle Savior”

SCRIPTURE BEFORE PRAYER

Psalm 85

After the song, we will read the entire Psalm, pause for a moment of reflection, and then enter our united prayer for Haiti.

SONG→PSALM 85→REFLECTION→UNITED PRAYER

Immediately afterward, we will lift a united prayer over Haiti—for spiritual awakening, peace, families, churches, the next generation, the diaspora, healing, restoration, direction, and hope.

Different locations. One appointed moment.
One nation before God, lifting one prayer for Haiti.

FROM PRAYER TO ACTION

When We Rise From Prayer…

Prayer is not where our responsibility ends. Prayer prepares us for what God may call us to do next.

Our Prayer Focus

  • Spiritual RevivalHearts turning toward God.
  • Children & FamiliesProtection, stability, education, and hope.
  • Churches & Spiritual LeadersCourage, wisdom, unity, and faithfulness.
  • Peace & RestorationHealing for communities affected by fear and instability.
  • The Haitian DiasporaResources and influence becoming instruments of service.
  • The Next GenerationIdentity, purpose, gifts, and calling in God.
  • Haiti's FutureWisdom, healing, restoration, and hope.

AFTER WE PRAY…

What is God calling us to do?

How can our churches strengthen families? How can we mentor young people? How can Haitian professionals, ministries, and congregations use their gifts to serve?

We may not all be called to do the same thing.
But we can all do something.
